All Out for the Siskiyou
Help Stop the Largest Timber Sale in Modern HistoryCalling on all moms, dads, kids, teachers, doctors, fishing guides and community members who love the wild Siskiyou, this is your opportunity!
Tuesday, July 6
Biscuit Timber Sales Record of Decision Release
Two Locations:
Portland: start at Waterfront Park at SW Oak St. and proceed to the Forest Service Building
Medford: at the Rogue/Siskiyou National Forest Headquarters
These events will both be large peaceful kid-safe rallies to counteract the Bush lies about salvage logging in the Biscuit-Siskiyou Wild Rivers Area. The events will include music, drama and speakers and are scheduled to coincide with the official signing of the documents that will put 26,000 acres of public land up for sale to the highest bidder. Let's make sure that the people's voices are also heard in the media that will cover this issue around the country on this day.
For the Medford rally, carpools leave Evo's Java House in Ashland at 11 am, Coffee Heaven in Cave Junction at 10 am and Selma Community Center in Selma at 10:15
